FOTD 7/7/11.... I'm a Funky Punk Today!

Hello Beauties!
So I am day late, but I was doing hair yesterday so I was a little tied up! But I am posting my fun, funky Punk Funk Look from yesterday! Check out this bright fun look!

I love the pop of blue....

WOooHOooOO

This is probably really dramatic... but I loved it!

FYI for those who have asked... those are my lashes I own no fake lashes!

I had a crease... I fixed it after this picture!

FACE:
  • I started with Neutorgena Oil Free Moisturizer with SPF 35
  • I used a new primer today... MILK OF MAGNESIA!!!!!! I will have a review of this SOON!!!
  • I used elf's Tone Correcting Concealer in Light Beige under the eyes and on the blemishes
  • Next I applied Rimmel's Lasting Finish Foundation in True Ivory (Using elf Powder Brush)
  • I set everything with elf's Mineral Booster in Sheer (Applied with elf Stipple Brush)
CHEEKS:
  • I used elf's Contouring Blush and Bronzer
  • On the cheeks I used the Blush (Applied with elf's Complexion Brush)
  • I contoured using the Bronzer (Applied with a contour brush)
EYES:
  • I applied elf's Eyelid Primer all over the lid
  • Then I applied elf Eyeshadow Cream Duo in Black Licorice (Only the SLIVER) all over the lid and blended slightly into the crease
  • ALL OF THE COLOR ON THE LID IS FROM ELF'S EYE BRIGHTENING QUAD IN PUNK FUNK
  • I took the pink of this quad and packed it on the inner half of the lid (Applied using the elf Professional Eyeshadow Brush)
  • Then I cleaned off the brush and used it in the purple of this quad and packed that all over the outer half of the lid
  • Then I took my elf Professional Eye Blending Brush and blended the two colors together to get rid of the harsh lines!
  • Next, I used the blue from the quad as a definer and outer V shade and BLENDED BLENDED BLENDED (I used the elf Professional Eye Crease Brush)
  • Then I used the whitish color from the quad to highlight the browbone and the inner corner. (No branded, just a flat soft brush...)
  • I then tightlined using elf's Cream Eyeliner in black, while making it thicker on the outer corner then the inner corner (elf Professional Eyeliner Brush)
  • I used Milani's Liquif'Eye Liner in Aqua for my waterline, going from the outer corner and halway in.
  • Then I curled my lashes and applied L'Oreal Voluminous Mascara in Soft Black
LIPS:
  • elf HyperShine Lipgloss in Fairy
And that's it... Hope you like my crazy fun look!

My Target & Big Lots Haul!!!! elf, Wet n Wild, Rimmel!!!

So, I have a Haul today!! Keep reading beauties!

So, first up is the elf Beauty Book! I have been messing around with the idea of a whole palette of neutrals for a while, and $4.50 was a lot better then the Naked palette for $42!

elf's Beauty Book Neutral Eye Edition

They're all nicely pigmented and blend beautifully!

Next we have elf's Eye Brightening Quad in Punk Funk! Can't have just neutrals here!!! ($1)

elf's Eye Brightening Quad in Punk Funk

No base or primer, just straight from the quad...

Next, we have elf's Studio Blush in Candid Coral

I love this packaging!

Beautiful Color & Shimmer
So this swatch does not do this color justice it is BEAUTIFUL!
Next, we half elf's Contouring Blush & Bronzer! I have been so excited to buy this because everyone says it's a dupe for NARS Orgasm & Laguna (?) And I LOVE Orgasm.... and I must say I think it's a decent dupe!

I love the NARS like packaging too!
So pretty!!!!!!
Once again, the swatch provides little justice for the beautiful color!
Next, we have elf's lipstick in Classy!
I'm not so hot on this packaging... a little cheap... But it was only a $1!
I liked a little more out of the plastic... but still UGH about it!

I'm in love with this beautiful pinky color! I cannot wait to wear it!
Next, we have the elf Complexion Brush!
I love this brush for blush!

It's so SOFT!
Next, we have the Concealer Brush...

Do I need to explain this one?
Next, we have the elf Wet Gloss Lash & Brow Clear Mascara
This is pretty simple too.. LOL!
Next we have elf's Super Glossy Lip Shine SPF 15 in Honey Do
So pretty!

I love this color!
Last elf product I swear! Lol, elf's Brush Shampoo
I cannot wait to see how this cleans my brushes!

Next, I picked up L'Oreal Paris Voluminous Original in Soft Balck
I have nothing really to say because I haven't tried it yet... But I am looking forward to seeing how it works

Brush seems promising!
Next, something from Rimmel! Rimmel's (new?) Glam'Eyes Mascara in Black
Claims to be ultra voluminous high definition mascara!

I'm in LUV with this brush!

And the packaging is so adorbs!

LOVE IT!
Next we have a couple Wet n Wild products, starting with Wet n Wild's Cream Liner

And then 2 Wet n Wild Wild Shine Lipsticks
They came together, with no actual names or numbers on them... but I found them at Big Lots!

This is the darker red

It goes on nicely!

Pretty dark pink!

Lalalla!
So, that's it... well I bought a moisturizer too but I will share that when I review it!

MY elf Haul!!!!! WOOOHOO!!!

So, yesterday a little makeup God dropped off my elf haul... and needless to say I was excited! It only took 4 days to get to me, which I must say was nice! Some of these items I can review briefly, others I will follow up on... So, let's get started...

elf's 100 Eyeshadow Studio Line Palette($10)
elf's 100 Eyeshadow Palette from the Studio Line $10.

This the mirror and (ew?) included applicators

Picture of all the colors, nice mix of matte, shimmer, and colors!

I'm in love with this palette!
Ok so obviously we are starting with my 100 eyeshadow palette, and needless to say I was super excited to get this, I mean 100 eyeshadow for $10?? AMAZING! I will admit that some of the colors aren't amazing pigmentation, but if you know how to work them, they will work amazingly! I am so happy so far and looking forward to doing some tutorials and looks on this palette!

Next, we have the most anticipated item I bought:

elf's High Defintion from the Studio Line ($6)

Great Packaging, cute and sleek!

Ugh... Cannot wait to try!
Ok, so I have not tried this :( (Sadface because I am SOOOO excited to try this) I plan on using this for the wedding... and I have heard amazing things about this product... REVIEW TO FOLLOW I promise!
Next, we have
elf's Creme Eyeshadow Duo in Black Licorsce ($1 Essential Line)

In their little pot...

Swatches with no flash

Swatches with flash
Ok, so I know there are mixed reviews out here on the internet about these eyeshadow duos. I got them for bases under my eyeshadows, and to be honest, this swatch you are seeing on my hand for about 2 hours, I have tried to crease them... they won't crease! I am happy with them... plus they have great pigmentation... So for a dollar, I'm happy!

Elf's Shimmer Pencil Eyeliners ($1 from Essential Line)
This the one in Black Bandit... Built in Sharpener

Black Bandit Swatch
elf Shimmer Pencil in Plum Passion

Swatch of Plum Passion
Ok, so these swatches do not do these pencils justice... They wear GREAT, smudge out nicely, have some great shimmer, and wear AMAZING on the waterline! I AM IN LOVE!

Ok, Next...
elf's Eyeliner Brush ($1 Essential Line)

Simple enough... Excuse that is dirty I used it...
So, simple enough, Eyeliner Brush. I am happy with this brush, its soft, but good for applying eyeliner or smudging it on the upper lashes... I like it a lot!

Next. elf's HyperShine Lipgloss in Fairy

elf's HyperShine Lipgloss in Fairy
Nothing to say, this is a back up for my favorite lipgloss... read my previous blog about it for a review!

Next, we have elf's Tone Correcting Concealer ($1 Essentials Line)

In Light Beige...

Swatcheddddddddddd

Blended... with flash...
Ok, so I haven't used this on my face. I am very happy with how it feels on my hand, and the way it blends and brightens... so I am excited for this one! So far it's a great thing I am looking forward to using...

Next, elf's Smudge Brush ($1 Essential Line)

Smudge Brush... WOooooHOoooHOOHhoooooOOO
Really, do I have to say anything? Its amazing, it smudges out amazing, also great for blending! WOOooooOOHoooOOOhOOO LOL!

And Lastly, the free gift I got...
elf's Eye Brightening Quad in...IVY

I've never seen it with that nifty little label!
Um, I haven't played with this, but I have Drama and Luxe and I love them.... so I am glad I got a new color... I am excited to play with this!

Ok, That's my haul... Hope you enjoyed it... Thank you beauties!
